The Ranch Book is the primer of the Core-Vocabulary Readers. Each book of the Core-Vocabulary Readers is one complete and continuous story, written in words familiar to children of the grade level for which the book is designed. The vocabulary in each book consists of the words most commonly found in readers and storybooks for the particular grade level. The two main reading objective of The Ranch Book (1) increasing the facility with which children read core-vocabulary words; (2) increasing the confidence with which children attack reading. Hand in hand with these objectives are opportunities for the expansion of ideas and concepts. In addition to these purposes, the authors hope the book will bring pleasure to children.
Item Condition: Used Good. Hardcover has some minor wear along the sides, scuffs and marks. Former library book with some markings and labels from the library. No dust jacket. Spine has some wear on the top and bottom. Pages are clean and the binding is secure.
