Description

The Great Ideas Today is an annual yearbook supplement to the Great Books of the Western World. It was published from 1971 to 1998, then retired when the revised edition of the Great Books was issued (although this listing page is just for 1961 – 1996). Each volume contains a symposium of essays on a common theme (women, civil police, etc.) written by respected authorities; plus additions to the Great Books library, which are significant works of literature or nonfiction that are still relevant today. Beginning with 1974, dust jackets were no longer issued. Massively illustrated, each volume averages 500 pages.

Item Condition: Used Good. 1966 edition. Dust jacket has some wear and small tears along the sides. Hardcover has some minor wear along the sides, scuffs and marks. Spine has some wear on the top and bottom. Pages are clean and the binding is secure.
