MJ Kroll, is a Minnesota based singer/songwriter and guitarist. Her original songs are candid stories about life and love told through heartfelt lyrics and fresh melodies. Each song takes you on an emotional journey with a landscape of rock, pop, blues, country, and alternative sounds. MJ Kroll’s first full length CD titled “Resonate” is a collection of radio-friendly songs recorded and co-produced at Winterland Studios with Producer Todd Fitzgerald. The cd has contributions from nationally-known drummer Noah Levy, award-winning guitarist Dean MaGraw and Foo Fighter’s touring violinist Jessy Green. The title track, “Resonate” was co-written with long-time Nashville writer Marc-Alan Barnette. One of the songs on the forthcoming “Resonate” album, “Time Will Flow”, was previously recorded as part of the “Good Wood” compilation cd to benefit Minnesota food shelves. Prior to her solo album, MJ Kroll was the lead singer and primary songwriter for the indiepop band, Beta Lounge. In addition to playing her own music, MJ has covered a variety of other artists including Dido, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morrisette, U2, Melissa Etheridge, Pretenders, and many more. Whether it’s her solo or full band performances, MJ captivates her audience with upbeat music, memorable lyrics, haunting vocals, and a dynamic stage presence. MJ’s band is called “the Believers” and includes bass, electric guitar, drums and backing vocals.
