Description

The plot is a mishmash about bootleggers, gangsters, and kidnapping in the 1930s, with Reynolds as a free-wheeling private eye and Eastwood as a jaded cop who doesn’t like Reynolds’s style. The two stars exaggerate their well-established screen personas, which, in Reynolds’s case, was already exaggerated enough.
