The album that broke Rosanne Cash’s truce with country radio, Interiors matches acoustic-based surface beauty with some of the most harrowing songwriting this side of Alex Chilton’s Sister Lovers psychodramas: it’s hardly surprising that Cash’s marriage to Rodney Crowell, a major subject here, broke up within a year of its release.
