Description
This film features two hours of muckshifting, condensed into a 23 minute sequence guaranteed to delight any Caterpillar and heavy equipment fan, with relentless action as a D9-R bulldozer digs in with a fleet of 631 and 637 motor scrapers, to move a hillside. Possibly one of the most frenetic muckshifting scenes recorded, with a magnificent accompanying symphony of V8 and straight six Cat engines under load. If you like mucky movies, this is one of the best! This main feature is preceeded by a detailed look at a 25 year old Cat D9-H bulldozer organising rock and shale. A full, supporting cast includes a 280 ton O&K 120E backhoe, a New Holland W270 articulated loading shovel in Ireland, and visits to two Koering (NCK) machines – a 1405 grab crane working on the dockside and a visit to The Quarry and Mining Museum at Trelkeld in Cumbria, to see the last 605B cable shovel to be built in the UK. NB: The Trelkeld Museum is where old diggers go to be saved and old digger drivers go to recapture their halcyon days and do it all again. It is located in the Lake District in the North of England.
