In this volume he deals with100 roadside wild flowers commonly met in uplands of the Southwest in full color. Much of this upland paradise lies between 4,500 and 7,500 feet altitude. It is nearly covered, or once was, with pygmy forests of pinyon trees, the latter popularly but erroneously called cedar.
